New general waste and recycling collection arrangement for six ACT suburbs

Released 05/09/2017

To allow Transport Canberra and City Services to continue to provide the best possible general waste and recycling collection service, changes are being made to the collection schedule for a number of suburbs in the ACT.

“Commencing Monday 2 October Ainslie, Hackett, Gungahlin, Lyons, Yarralumla and Richardson will see changes to their general waste and recycling collection schedule,” Acting Director, NOWaste, Petra Crowe said.

“The changes in services are due to significant population growth across some areas of the ACT. These changes will allow us to improve the efficiency of our collection schedule and ensure a quality service is delivered to all suburbs.”
