Dickson Road Closures for crane removal

As part of the building construction being undertaken on the new Malabar Apartments in Dickson, Cape Street will be closed in both directions between Woolley Street to the Woolworths Petrol Station driveway located on Badham Street from Saturday morning to Sunday night over the next two weekends.

To allow for the dismantling and removal of the tower cranes, the closure will be in place between:

  • 6 am Saturday morning on 19 August 2017 to 6 pm Sunday evening on 20 August 2017; and
  • 6 am Saturday morning on 26 August 2017 to 6pm Sunday 27 August 2017.

Barriers, warning and diversion signs will be in place and we ask the public to follow directions of traffic controllers

The closure is not expected to have an impact on Transport Canberra bus services.

Where will the works take place?

  • Both directions of traffic along Cape Street between Woolley Street and the Woolworths Petrol Station Driveway located on Badham Street, Dickson.

When will works take place?

  • Works will commence after 6 am Saturday 19 August 2017, weather permitting, until 6 pm Sunday
    20 August 2017.
  • Works will resume after 6 am Saturday 26 August 2017, weather permitting, until 6 pm Sunday
    27 August 2017.
