The ACT Skills Needs List informs priorities for ACT Government funding of vocational education and training (VET) qualifications. The List enables the ACT Government to better target training funding and subsidies to develop a productive and highly skilled workforce which contributes to the ACT’s economic future.

Skills Canberra is reviewing the list to ensure it remains aligned with changing ACT skills needs. Your opinion and feedback is valued and is key to the review of the ACT Skills Needs List.

For consultation purposes the Draft ACT Skills Needs List 2018 is separated into two lists.

List A has qualifications that are currently identified as likely to be included on the final ACT Skills Needs List 2018, unless the consultation process identifies strong evidence that a qualification is not needed by industry.

List B includes qualifications which either:

a) relate to occupations with skills shortages but Skills Canberra is seeking feedback on the most relevant qualification OR

b) are a moderate skills need qualification.

Please visit the ACT Skills Needs List webpage to view List A and List B and provide feedback via the survey. The survey will close on 6 October 2017.

The consultation will inform the final ACT Skills Needs List 2018 which will be released in late October 2017.
