Release of the 2017 ACT Australian Apprenticeships (User Choice) Qualification Subsidy Amounts (QSA) List

The 2017 ACT Australian Apprenticeships (User Choice) Qualification Subsidy Amounts (QSA) List has been finalised.

Skills Canberra has released the 2017 ACT Australian Apprenticeships (User Choice) Qualification Subsidy Amounts (QSA) List. The subsidy amounts on the 2017 User Choice QSA List apply to enrolments from 1 January 2017 and the list can be found on the Skills Canberra website. The current subsidy amounts apply to existing students or enrolments prior to 1 January 2017 for the entirety of that enrolment.

Qualifications which are ‘In Transition’ will incur the same subsidy amount as the qualifications that superseded them until the end of that qualification’s transition period. Certain qualification subsidy amounts are listed as TBD where there has been a delay in the publication of Victorian Purchasing Guides. The release of new qualifications and prices through User Choice will continue to be an ongoing process.

Changes to subsidy amounts from last year’s User Choice QSA List can be attributed to a change in the Efficient Qualification Price and/or a change in subsidy rate due to shifts in ACT skills priority areas (as defined by the Forecasting of Industry Needs and Entitlement (FINE) Model).

If you have strong evidence that demonstrates the change in funding amount is inappropriate please contact skills@act.gov.au by 25 November 2016.
