Introduction of Deleted status on the national register

The national register of VET at training.gov.au (TGA) will introduce a new usage recommendation, Deleted, for training packages and their components, by 30 November 2016.

The Deleted status will represent training packages or components that have been discontinued. Currently, these components are marked as Superseded, despite not being replaced by any new component.

The implementation of the Deleted status will occur in two phases.

As part of the first phase, a number of legacy (pre-TGA) training packages and components have been marked as Superseded on TGA, in preparation for introduction of the Deleted status. These components will be updated with the Deleted status by 30 November 2016.

The second phase will see the Deleted status expanded into all relevant training packages and their components, whereby any training packages or components currently marked as superseded with no replacement will have their status updated to Deleted. The second phase is scheduled for release in early 2017.
