ACT Australian Apprenticeships Program (User Choice) Review Consultation Opportunities

The ACT Education and Training Directorate (the Directorate) is reviewing parts of the Australian Apprenticeships Program (User Choice) in the ACT.

The ACT Education and Training Directorate will conduct a range of consultations with ACT VET stakeholders including registered training organisations (RTOs), Australian Apprentices, Australian Apprentice employers and broader industry. These will include focus groups, surveys and targeted stakeholder interviews.

RTO Surveys

The RTO surveys will focus on specific elements of the Australian Apprenticeships Program. These surveys will be released separately throughout the consultation period from the week beginning 6 July 2015 – 20 July 2015. The specific elements that the surveys will focus on include:

  • Student fees and charges
  • Payment arrangements and administrative costs
  • Completion Bonus

RTO Focus Groups

The RTO Focus Groups will also focus on specific elements (noted above) of the Australian Apprenticeships Program and will occur throughout the consultation period from the week beginning 6 July 2015 – 20 July 2015. Further information on the focus groups including times and dates will be provided on 6 July 2015.

RTOs unable to attend the focus groups are encouraged to complete the range of RTO surveys released during the consultation period. All stakeholder surveys will be made available on the ACT Australian Apprenticeships Program (User Choice) Review webpage.
