ACT Draft Skills Needs 2015 – Open for Consultation
The ‘Draft ACT Skills Needs List 2015’ is now available for consultation.
The ACT Education and Training Directorate (the Directorate) is reviewing the ACT Skills Needs List.
The ACT Skills Needs List identifies the skills needs within the ACT. The list is used to assist in identifying which VET qualifications may receive government subsidy through specified training initiatives, and the level of subsidy provided for a training place in those qualifications.
The Directorate is seeking responses to a survey about the new ‘Draft ACT Skills Needs List 2015’. The survey is an opportunity for industry, employers, registered training organisations and members of the wider community to comment and provide feedback on the ‘Draft ACT Skills Needs List 2015’.
For consultation purposes the Draft ACT Skills Needs List 2015 is separated into two lists.
List A has qualifications that are currently identified as likely to be included on the final ACT Skills Needs List, unless the consultation process identifies strong evidence that a qualification is not needed by industry. List B includes qualifications which either:
- relate to occupations with skills shortages but the Directorate is seeking feedback on the most relevant qualification. OR
- are a moderate skills need qualification.
Please visit the ACT Skills Needs List webpage to view List A and List B and provide feedback via the survey.
The consultation will inform the final ACT Skills Needs List which will be released in September 2015.
The survey will close on 24 August 2015.
