Quality of Assessment in Vocational Education and Training Discussion Paper
The Australian Government is seeking feedback from vocational education and training (VET) Stakeholders on the Quality of Assessment in Vocational Education and Training – Discussion Paper (the discussion paper). Submissions for feedback close 11 March 2016.
The discussion paper has been released to seek stakeholder views on reforms intended to improve the conduct of assessment in VET.
Priority areas for investigation are approaches to strengthening the skills of VET trainers and assessors, consideration of improved validation of assessment, including potential for greater industry involvement, and options for tougher regulatory interventions.
The discussion paper contains a number of potential reforms with significant implications for the training system. VET stakeholders are strongly encouraged to review the discussion paper.
