Skills Canberra Training Products Funding Policy – Discussion Paper
Skills Canberra is seeking the views of interested stakeholders on the funding of training products in the ACT.
Skills Canberra focuses on targeting government funding to support training in areas of high needs to best provide the skills needed by industry, students and the ACT community. Skills Canberra is looking to develop a formal policy on the funding of training products. This will be informed by research, analysis and targeted consultation with stakeholders.
Currently, Skills Canberra funding is almost exclusively targeted at full qualifications at the Certificate III level or above. This work will consider whether there is a role for Skills Canberra funding beyond this area.
The discussion paper provides an overview of training products, their use, and funding arrangements across jurisdictions. It also provides current evidence and a rationale for the use and funding of various training products in the ACT. The paper includes a number of questions which can be responded to using the survey below. The response period for the survey will close on Monday 19 December at 5pm.
