Measuring our Progress is the ACT Government’s online report card on life in Canberra. The website reports 28 indicators of the ACT’s progress as a society, which are aligned with the themes of The Canberra Plan: Towards Our Second Century. The website assists in informing community engagement and in the development of government policy.

ACT Estimated Resident Population

The ACT Estimated Resident Population is an ACT focused summary provided following the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ quarterly data release on the estimated resident population, including details on natural growth, interstate migration and overseas migration.

The estimated resident population of the ACT at 30 September 2011 was 366,938 persons, an increase of 1,317 persons (0.36%) in the three months since 30 June 2011. The Australian population rose 0.34% to 22,695,975.

For the year ending 30 September 2011 the ACT population rose 1.9%, well above the national growth rate of 1.4%.
