ACT Population Projections: 2009 to 2059 present the Government’s official population projections for the ACT, by age and by sex.
ACT Population Projections by Suburbs and Districts: 2009 to 2021 presents localised projections for each ACT suburb.
Accurate population projections are fundamental to high quality planning and policy development. The projections do not represent targets, but instead assist us to better plan for the community’s future needs, including housing, schools, health care, aged care facilities, and other services you use every day.
The ACT Government projections are updated regularly to reflect the changing demographic trends. The projections will next be updated in 2013.
