Decision to provisionally register

The ACT Heritage Council (the Council) decided to provisionally register the following place in accordance with section 32 of the Heritage Act 2004 (the Act). The Council is satisfied that the place is likely to meet one or more of the heritage significance criteria at s 10 of the Act:

  • City Railway Remnants, Kingston and Reid

The public are invited to submit written comments on the provisional registration within 4 weeks after the day the notice is notified. Written comments can be sent to GPO Box 158 Canberra, via email to heritage@act.gov.au, or via website www.yoursay.act.gov.au. Decision not to provisionally register

The Council decided not to provisionally register the following place in accordance with section 32 of the Act:

  • Old Land's End, Belconnen

Further provisional registration decision

For the purposes of section 34 of the Act, the Council is notifying its further provisional registration decision for the Glenburn Precinct, Kowen.

Pursuant to Section 24 of the Act, the Council has made a further provisional registration decision to change a registration detail mentioned in section 12(d) of the Act ('a statement about its heritage significance, including the reasons for the registration and an assessment of the place or object against the heritage significance criteria').

The public are invited to submit comments on this further provisional registration decision within 4 weeks after the day the notice is notified.  For further information, including closing date for comments, visit www.environment.act.gov.au/heritage.

In accordance with section 24A of the Act, this decision does not affect the existing registration details for the place, except that which is changed by the notification. As such, the Council is seeking comment only on the details included in the notification.

Decision to register

The Council is notifying its decision to register the following place in accordance with section 40 of the Act. The Council decided that the place meets one or more of the heritage significance criteria at s 10 of the Act:

  • Umbagong District Park Grinding Grooves, Latham

Interested parties may apply, within 28 days after the decision is made, to the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT) for a review of the above decision of the Council to register a place.  Reviewable decisions are in Schedule 1 of the Act and subject to the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 2008. Applications can be sent to ACAT, Level 4, 1 Moore Street, Canberra City. www.acat.act.gov.au.
