Government Response to the Select Committee Inquiry into the 2016 ACT Election and Electoral Act

Cabinet agreed to the ACT Government Response to the Report of the Select Committee on the Inquiry into the 2016 ACT Election and the Electoral Act. The Government response will enhance liveability and social inclusion by supporting recommendations that will improve accessibility and participation in the political process and strengthen the integrity of the electoral system.

Inquiry into the implementation, performance and governance of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in the ACT – ACT Government Submission

Cabinet agreed to the ACT Government Submission to the Standing Committee on Health. Ageing and Social Services Inquiry into the implementation, performance and governance of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in the ACT.

Under the requirements of the ACT Government Cabinet Handbook, no Triple Bottom Line Assessment was required for this item.

Reducing the Number of Electronic Gaming Machine Authorisations

Cabinet agreed to engage an independent senior expert to provide recommendations on measures that will support clubs in reducing their reliance on gaming machine revenue, while strengthening and expanding the support, services and recreation options that clubs offer their community.

A report on the options analysis by the independent senior expert will be provided to the ACT Government by 31 May 2018. The ACT Government will release Terms of Reference for the Club Industry Diversification Analysis in announcing the appointment of the expert.

Family Safety Innovation Hub – Endorsement of Model

Cabinet agreed to endorse the model for the Family Safety Hub, to improve domestic and family violence service responses.
