Cabinet agreed that the Minister for Transport and City Services table the ACT Government’s Response to the Standing Committee’s Report into the Management of ACT Cemeteries in the Legislative Assembly.

Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2018 – Combined Pass

Cabinet agreed the Attorney-General present the Justice and Community Safety Legislation Amendment Bill 2018 in the Legislative Assembly. The Bill makes amendments to improve and clarify legislation primarily administered by the Justice and Community Safety Directorate.

Ministerial Statement: February Delegation to Washington DC

Cabinet agreed the Chief Minister make a Ministerial Statement in the Legislative Assembly on his visit to Washington D.C. in February 2018.

Ministerial Statement: Cultural Integrity in ACT Public Schools

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Education and Early Childhood Development make a Ministerial Statement in the Legislative Assembly on Cultural Integrity in ACT Public Schools on during the March 2018 sitting period.

Under the requirements of the ACT Government Cabinet Handbook, no Triple Bottom Line Assessment was required.

Ministerial Statement: ABS Homelessness Data

Cabinet agreed the Minister for Housing and Suburban development make a Ministerial Statement in the Legislative Assembly on the homelessness outcomes revealed by the release of 2016 Census data.

Under the requirements of the ACT Government Cabinet Handbook, no Triple Bottom Line Assessment was required.

Firearms (Prohibition Orders) Amendment Bill 2018

Minute number: 18/007/CAB

Cabinet agreed to not proceed with the Bill.

Provision of Cemeteries and Interment Services in the ACT - Endorsement of Model

Minute number: 17/726/CAB

Cabinet agreed to progress planning and development of a new cemetery (the Southern Memorial Park) to be operated by the ACT Cemeteries Authority, a second crematorium and to undertake a review of the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2003.
