Enrichment grants open enabling young women to Dream, Believe, Achieve

Released 25/07/2017

The 2017 Audrey Fagan Young Women Enrichment Grants have officially opened and aim to encourage young ACT women to develop or enhance their skills in their area of passion.

The Enrichment Grants program provide one off grants of up to $2,000 to enable young women to build  a collaborative relationship with a mentor in their area of interest.

Young women aged between 12 and 18 who are residents of the ACT or are undertaking study in the ACT are eligible to apply.

The Enrichment Grants are a component of the Audrey Fagan Scholarship program established in 2007 to honour former ACT Chief Police Officer Audrey Fagan’s contribution as an inspirational leader and mentor for young women.

The Enrichment Grants provide an opportunity for young women to make decisions, take responsibility, and initiate projects in collaboration with experienced mentors. These grants have the potential to increase women’s participation in decision-making and leadership roles both now and into the future.

This supports the ACT Government’s commitment to provide opportunities for women and girls to develop skills and expertise.

Grants applications close at 5.00pm on Friday 25 August 2017.
