New online community tools: My Canberra and My Family

Today I launched two new online community tools – ‘My Canberra’ and ‘My Family’ – to better support individuals and families in accessing services in the ACT.

The products are an excellent example of the type of effective service responses that can be achieved when government and service providers combine resources and expertise.

The ‘My Canberra’ information portal is an interactive tool which enables community members to find information about the many services and supports available in the ACT.

‘My Canberra’ uses a series of intuitive questions to help people find the right service, at the right time, which is right for them. The tool can also be used by services working with vulnerable individuals and families. Developed in response to consultation with families, ‘My Family’ is an excellent resource that will help families when working with different organisations across the sector so they don’t have to tell their story multiple times.

‘My Family’ provides a secure way for families to record, store and share their information people in their support network, in one place.
