Released 21/09/2012

It's not too late to purchase your tickets for the inaugural Canberra Readers' Festival – For the love of reading... being held at The Playhouse this Saturday 22 September 2012.

"We are excited to showcase six high-profile, Australian authors as part of the Canberra Readers' Festival. Participants will be entertained by Frank Moorhouse, Kate Grenville, Melina Marchetta, Kel Robertson, Hazel Edwards and Anita Heiss," said Vanessa Little, Director, Libraries ACT.

"As well as getting the chance to hear from notable Australian authors, there will be opportunities for avid readers to debate, discuss and share their views on books with each other, with authors and with the community."

Tickets for the Canberra Readers' Festival can be purchased online through Canberra Ticketing or in person at the box office at the Canberra Theatre Centre on the day of the Festival until sold out.

Ticket prices start at $32 for a full day ticket ($25 for concession). For those people who are unable to attend the full day's program, we have individual session tickets also available.

"This is a fantastic event for those who love to read, for aspiring authors and especially for the many passionate people who are members of book clubs in our community."
