Help wanted to paint library mural

Released 27/09/2012

Libraries ACT invites adults with a love of art and hand for creativity to come along to Erindale Library on Wednesday 3 October 2012.

"We need your help to paint a mural that brightens up the area and can be enjoyed by all who visit the library," said Vanessa Little, Director, Libraries ACT.

"Participants will paint a selection of geometric shapes in vivid colours and designs and by the end of the session the shapes will be joined to create the mural. Before everybody leaves they will be able to see the final piece framed and displayed on a wall of the library.

"Join us for a few hours of fun, make your contribution to the mural, and mingle with other Canberrans.

"Bring your lunch and make sure you wear suitable clothing, as painting can sometimes get a bit messy. Cake will be provided for morning tea."

Ms Little said all adults are welcome to participate and no previous experience is required.

Bookings are essential and can be made by visiting www.library.act.gov.au or calling 6205 9000.
