Canberra’s chance to connect and participate

Canberrans of all abilities are encouraged to connect, participate and discover all that Canberra has to offer at this weekend’s Connect and Participate Expo (CAP Expo).

CAP Expo 2018 will bring together a diverse range of more than 100 social, recreational, cultural, artistic and sporting groups from across Canberra.

CAP Expo 2018 is on this Saturday, 24 March at the Old Bus Depot building in Kingston, with the fun running from 11am to 4pm with free entry.

Inclusive of all abilities and ages, with a focus on wellbeing and social inclusion, the CAP Expo gives people a chance to participate within their community and meet like-minded people.

Throughout the day, local comedian, disability activist and feminist, Laura Campbell will keep everyone entertained as Master of Ceremonies.

Performances will include concrete and wood breaking by Kung Fu Wushu ACT, a workshop and performance by Bellyup Bellydance, a choreographed dance routine by ACT Companion Dog Club’s handlers and their dogs and many more opportunities to see who is doing what in your community.

Diversity doesn’t stop at the stallholders, food on the day will include South American street food, European donuts, crepes and more!

The CAP Expo plays a critical role in connecting people to our community and supports the ACT Government’s vision of increasing community participation in all aspects of life.
