Tuggeranong Art Centre showcasing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art

Released 25/07/2017

NAIDOC Week celebrations continued in Tuggeranong last night with the opening of a special exhibition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art.

It was a pleasure to open a number of exhibitions at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre that celebrate the breadth of creativity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.

Ecology, Tradition, Art by Jennifer Kemarre Martiniello, My Country: ngathu bubu by Kayannie Denigan, and Veils, and Exploration of Landscape and Memory by Karen Lee are now open until 29 July.

I encourage all Canberrans to visit and see this breathtaking collection of work.

For more information on the art centre and the exhibits go to https://www.tuggeranongarts.com/events/naidoc-week/.
