Applications are now open for the ACT Youth Week 2018 grants, with $25,000 in grants available to organise events during Youth Week that celebrate and recognise the contribution of young people to the Canberra community.
Grant applications are open now and will close on 12 January 2018. The grants provide up to $1500 each to assist groups of young people to fund events for other young people from 13 to 22 April 2018.
I am proud that in the ACT we have a great tradition of celebrating youth and recognising the many positive ways young Canberrans are involved in our community.
That is why the ACT Government, through the Community Services Directorate, is recognising the talent, commitment and creativity of young people across the ACT with this grants program.
ACT Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to share ideas, attend live events, have their voices heard on issues of concern to them, showcase their talents, celebrate their contribution to the community, take part in competitions, and simply have fun.
To be eligible, young people must be working in partnership with a local council, community organisation or school.
