Released 25/07/2017

Applications for two key grants programs have opened today, with a total of $345,000 available to support the work of Canberra’s community sector.

The $220,000 Community Support and Infrastructure Grants Program will support ACT community organisations to deliver programs and services more effectively and efficiently.

Organisations may apply for funding under four project categories:

  • community support and capacity, such as partnerships or training;
  • non-fixed infrastructure and equipment, including furniture, storage and work safety equipment;
  • minor capital works and fixed infrastructure; and
  • community support for those in care, including cultural, social or sporting opportunities for children and young people in care.

The $125,000 Participation (Digital Communities) Grants Program will support organisations to establish or enhance their capacity to engage in the community through the use of digital technology.

These grants programs demonstrate the ongoing commitment of the ACT Government to supporting the important work of the community sector in reaching out to all Canberrans and building a stronger and more inclusive city.

Applications close at midnight on 28 May 2017.
