Showcase your photos of the capital online

Released 25/07/2017

Canberrans will have an opportunity to share their favourite photo of our city on the Access Canberra homepage.

Minister for Regulatory Services Gordon Ramsay said this was a fantastic opportunity for budding and expert photographers to showcase their skills with the website attracting 7.2 million page views of the website (act.gov.au/accessCBR) each year.

“Access Canberra is one of the most frequently visited of our government websites which is no surprise – Canberrans are able to do more than 250 digital transactions on the site as well as view information on a wide range of services across business, community and industry.

“It is our online hub for ACT services and we are pleased to continue to make this great online platform even more interactive through this initiative.”

A photo Minister Ramsay had snapped of the city is the first image displayed on the site.

“With most of us having smartphones in our pockets, I look forward to seeing the diversity of our city captured through the eyes – and lens – of our community online.”

Minister Ramsay said approximately 60% of Canberrans are choosing to transact digitally with the ACT Government.

“We will continue to make improvements and expand the range of online services through Access Canberra and I look forward to making some further exciting announcements in this space in the very near future.”
