Discover how fire frequency and intensity affect the natural landscape and how the ACT Parks and Conservation Service uses fire to protect homes, people and threatened species.

Fire expert Dr Adam Leavesley will conduct a short walk through Bruce Ridge to explain how fire is used as a management tool.

What: Prescribed fire in the landscape, walk and talk presentation

When: 10am – 11.30am, Thursday 9 March

Where: Bruce Ridge Nature Reserve (meet at the car park opposite 160 Dryandra Street, O'Connor)

Bring: Bring hats, sturdy shoes and sun block.
