WorkSafe ACT is currently responding to a concern regarding a crane at a worksite in the city.
A Prohibition Notice has been issued on the crane until checks are undertaken by an engineer.
A Non-Disturbance Notice has been issued for the site as a precaution, which means that construction workers have been asked to leave the site.
There is no immediate risk to safety of workers or the community however as a precaution some roads in the immediate area have been closed temporarily and traffic diversions are in place.
An engineer will this evening inspect the crane and provide recommendations to WorkSafe which will inform any further action.
