ACT Government funds better support for vulnerable families

With the support of the ACT Government, new accommodation for Karinya House was officially opened today .

The ACT Government provided $4.45 million for the development of the new facilities, highlighting our commitment to providing safe accommodation and services to vulnerable Canberra families.

Karinya House provides supported accommodation, transitional housing, outreach, support groups and casework services to pregnant and parenting women and their families who are in crisis.  The opening of this new purpose built facility will support Karinya House to consolidate and improve the services they provide to the community.

Congratulations to the Karinya Board and the Canberra community for their hard work in delivering this project.
