The final stage of road resealing works will temporarily close sections of road in Gungahlin tomorrow Tuesday 27 February and Wednesday 28 February, 2018. These works will extend the life of the road and produce a smooth finish providing an improved road surface.
The micro surfacing of the road is the final and third stage of road resealing works in this area.
Location of road resealing works
- Tomorrow, Tuesday 27 February 2018, from 9.30 am until 3.30 pm, Mirrabei Drive between Wanganeen Avenue and before Crackajack Way and between Mirrabei Drive and Len Waters Street, Ngunnawal. Transport Canberra buses will not be affected during these works.
- Wednesday 28 February 2018, from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm, two sections of Horse Park Drive between Gungahlin Drive and Newlop Street as well as Newlop Street to Arrabri Street, Ngunnawal. The two sections of Horse Park Drive will NOT be closed at the same time.
Road resealing works will also be in effect closing the northbound carriageway of the Tuggeranong Parkway between Cotter Road and the Glenloch Interchange from Saturday 3 March until Monday 5 March 2018. Further details about these necessary works will be announced this week.
Effects on traffic
- Traffic controllers will be on site to guide motorists through the area.
- Detours will be in place whilst the micro surfacing works are being undertaken.
