Reminder: Register to Ride to Anzac Day events

The ACT Government is reminding members of the public to Register to Ride with Transport Canberra to attend ANZAC Day Ceremonies tomorrow, Tuesday 25 April 2017.

“It is free to Register to Ride. Registering will ensure buses are available for our passengers where and when they’re needed,” Transport Canberra spokesperson, David Matthews, said.

“Passengers can book online via the Transport Canberra website.

“Free services to the Dawn Service will depart from the Gungahlin, Westfield Belconnen, Woden and Tuggeranong bus station. Alternatively park your car and catch a loop shuttle bus that will operate from Majura Park Shopping Centre, Russell Offices, Canberra Centre (Ballumbir Street) and the City Bus Station.

“Shuttles for the National Ceremony will operate from Majura Park Shopping Centre, Russell Offices and the Canberra Centre.

“Passengers will need to Register to Ride for the both the Dawn Service and the National Ceremony. Free return services will depart 20 minutes after both services.”

Passengers who wear or display their war service medals can ride on any Transport Canberra bus for free during Anzac Day with buses riding to a Sunday Timetable during the public holiday.
