Maintenance work continues with Library online systems

Released 17/08/2017

Technicians are continuing to work to resolve the recent issues being experienced with the Libraries ACT catalogue and My Account systems.

The online systems have been working intermittently and the situation is being monitored.

As work continues to rectify the online system failure, some pages may look different for a period.

Library members are encouraged to use the online systems and to provide feedback if required by email at library.customerinfo@act.gov.au or via phone on 6205 9000.

When the recent problems were experienced, they stopped library members from being able to renew online, make requests, or access eResources including downloading eBooks or anything that requires entering a membership number.

Automatic return chutes at the Gungahlin library branch have also been unavailable. Members are asked to please return items inside the library during opening hours or at another branch outside opening hours.

Bookings for internet computers in the library were also affected. If this occurs again, please ask at your branch for the next available computer.

Loaned items that fall due during this outage will not accrue overdue fines.

Libraries ACT advise that other library services are not affected and members can still borrow, return and renew in person at library branches. To renew in branches, please ask staff to do this on your behalf. Renewals can also be made by phone.

Libraries ACT apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank members for their patience.
