The large off leash dog park in O’Connor has been temporarily closed following damage to a fence from a fallen tree during the recent storm. Dog owners with small dogs can use the smaller dog park directly behind.
Owners of large dogs are encouraged to use the off leash dog park at Lake Ginninderra, Diddams Close in Belconnen until repairs to the fence are completed.
Location of closure
The large dog park is off Fairfax Street, O’Connor.
Timing of closures
Repairs to the fence will start this week with the dog park anticipated to be open by Saturday 21 January 2017.
Notices are placed at the dog park to advise the community of the temporarily closure.
There are five other fenced off leash dog areas in the ACT. More details of where to take dogs for exercise can be found at www.tccs.act.gov.au
