Hibberson Street repair works this weekend

Released 21/10/2016

The ACT Government wishes to advise motorists and other road users that overnight road works will be undertaken on a section of Hibberson Street, Gungahlin.

The works are to repair a section of the road surface which has buckled as a result of a combination of recent wet weather and a high volume of traffic.

To allow the works to be conducted safely, and to avoid major traffic disruptions, Hibberson Street will be closed between Gungahlin Place and Gozzard Street from 6 pm Sunday 23 October to 6 am Monday 24 October 2016, weather depending.

Motorists should seek an alternate route and the works will be completed as quickly as they safely can be.

The closure will impact ACTION bus services on Sunday afternoon. Platforms 1 and 2 will be temporarily relocated to Gozzard Street outside the Raiders Club from 5 pm until first service Monday morning. For details visit transport.act.gov.au

Barriers, warning and diversion signs will be erected to alert people of the closure and changed arrangements. We apologise for any inconvenience and will attempt to minimise disruptions over this period. For up-to-date information on road closures call Access Canberra on 13 22 81 or visit  www.tccs.act.gov.au
